Zentangle: * Unplanned artwork * Can be seen from just about any direction (unless you add words/names like I did in some) *Abstract art, patterns, not anything in particular *Can be drawn with either left or right hand *Time spent on the art is up to you *Take it anywhere! *You will want to frame each one! *Give to friends as a gift *Share with students in your class (if you teach)
I learned about Zentangles from the internet and one of my past colleagues. Zentangles are small abstract pieces of art that are done primarily in black and white (usually black ink on a small piece of white paper). I usually do my drawings on 8 1/2 x 11 pages so I can frame them. They aren't only relaxing and fun to create...they are sometimes quite pretty to look at. Zentangling helps me to focus as I'm listening in meetings or just sitting at home relaxing. Each pattern takes on its own personality. The creativity and patterns are endless. Absolutely ANYONE can do this! Give it a try and you will probably become addicted as well. I hope you enjoy my drawings as much as I did creating them.
